Understanding
the exhibit environment…
David Lazenby is the Principal and Creative Director of LDA. He has 20 years
experience in the design and art-direction field beginning with film, documentary
television and museum exhibits.
The last 10 years have been specifically concerned with mainstream aquarium
and zoo exhibit projects worldwide.
A
firm grounding in the actual construction and fabrication of exhibits
has given him a concise knowledge of construction materials, methods and
techniques which ensure that LDA designs are inherently workable.
Understanding
the natural environment…
David is also a well-published, professional wildlife and adventure photographer.
His credits include GEO, Illustrated Science, National Geographic, Discovery
Channel Books and many more.
With
expeditions to over 40 countries on six continents he has documented some
of the world’s wildest and most remote ecosystems including rainforests,
deserts, caves, mountains, glaciers, coral reefs and temperate seas.
These
up-close-and-personal experiences have provided him with a unique wealth
of insight, inspiration and reference material to recreate realistic environments
as zoo, aquarium or museum exhibits.
